Privacy policy
Short, because the site does very little.
What we collect
Only an email address, and only if you type one into a signup form yourself. There are no accounts, no comments, and nothing else on this site asks you for personal information.
We use privacy-focused, aggregate analytics to count page views and see which pages people read. It doesn't use cookies for tracking, doesn't build a profile of you, and doesn't follow you to other sites.
If you give us your email
Some pages offer a free guide in exchange for an email address. If you sign up, here is exactly what happens.
We store your email address, which guide you asked for, and a short code identifying which page or post sent you here. We use it to send you the guide, and then occasionally to tell you when we publish a new review. That's all.
We never sell, rent or share your address, and we don't send it to any of the product companies. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you from the list entirely.
The list is held by a third-party email provider that stores and sends on our behalf under their own privacy policy. If you'd like to know which provider we currently use, or want your data deleted rather than just unsubscribed, ask us and we'll action it.
Signing up is never required to read anything here. Every article and review is complete and free without it.
The campaign tag in the URL
Some links to this site carry a short tag in the address, like
?t=pin_pv_ingr_01. It records which post or page sent you here — nothing about
you personally. It's stored in your browser for the duration of your visit and discarded
when you close the tab.
When you click through to a product
Links to products leave this site and go to the retailer. At that point their privacy policy applies, not ours. The retailer sets a cookie to record that we referred you, which is how the commission is attributed. We never see your name, address, payment details or order — only aggregate counts of clicks and sales.
Hosting
The site is served as static files. The host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
Your rights
If you never signed up, we hold no personal data about you and there is nothing to export or delete.
If you did sign up, you can unsubscribe from any email in one click, or ask us to send you a copy of what we hold or delete it outright. We'll do it without asking why.
